Balloon Fest Day 2

First, a few more pics from Friday afternoon:

Several lighthouses on the island - this is one.

Another bad selfie.  I gotta grow longer arms!

Another great Jeep shot though.

Thought we'd try the beach for the afternoon ascention... non event.  This brave guy was about the only one to show up.

Seems I always take pics when I make dinner, and never when Wendy does.  Here's why.  It was actually pretty good, but I betcha can't guess what it is...
OK, on to Saturday.  Thought we'd try the beach again and get some over-the-water pics.  Worked out OK except the sun wanted to be in the wrong place.

Poor bugger couldn't afford a basket.

Catchin' a tow.
Then back to the golf course.
A few more people there today.

When you're a balloon and you get old and can't hold your air, this is what happens. Good thing it's not that way with people - or maybe it is...
Hot Hips belly dancers.  This was as close as I got.  I think I was leaking air, so that's probably a good thing.
Cliff, this one's for you.  I got my smoked turkey leg, AND a glass of bacon lemonade.  Yup, you read that right.  I saved the leg for supper but savoured the lemonade right away.
Back to the beach again for the afternoon ascention... which didn't happen again... they gotta start keeping the pilots out of the beer tent.  Took a walk along the canal though.
Back to the grounds for the "Night Glow" event.  At least the pilots were sober enough to show up for this, safely tied to the ground.  Kinda like Nascar drivers skipping the race, but showing up to burn donuts in the parking lot.  Still, quite a spectacle.

My apologies for the blurry photos, but freehand with no flash is tough for me.  I have no idea why THIS one's not blurry: total accident.

I have some video as well - maybe if I get ambitious sometime I'll post some short clips.  Don't hold your breath though.  That's all for today - maybe some more balloon shots tomorrow!
